Job Description:

Assistant Principal for Middle School of Plainville (10 months plus 15 days during the summer months)

Description:

Roles & Responsibilities of the Assistant Principal of MSP will be determined by the Principal and administrative team but may include:

  • Assists in the establishment and maintenance of district/school policies and procedures including student behavioral support and discipline

  • Create, maintain, and promote program development that will meet the dynamic needs of our student population and school community-partnering with the principal (MTSS - Tier II & III Interventions, Data Analysis and Action Planning)

  • Supports coordination of standardized testing (SBA, NEAP, PSAT, NGSS.)

  • Chairs PPT and 504 Meetings

  • Support principal in curriculum development and implementation

  • Assist principal creating building-wide schedules (academic, duties, specialists, tutors, etc.)

  • Provides advice, resources, guidance and supportive assistance to teachers and non-certified staff.

  • Teacher Evaluation & Development (Management, Planning, Instruction, Assessment)

  • Supervising and evaluating staff.

  • Instructional improvement

  • Fosters parent & community stakeholder partnerships

  • Other duties as assigned by the principal to fulfill goals of the schools.

Connecticut Intermediate Administrators certificate 092 or verification of eligibility is required.

Salary Range can be found on the Plainville Community Schools website in the Administrators contract.
