    Job Description

    The Assistant Director / Dean of Students is responsible for overseeing day-to-day high school building operations to ensure a safe, positive, and productive learning environment. In this role the administrator takes strategic ownership of the school''s Attendance Team to execute monthly attendance reporting and actively reduce chronic absenteeism. Daily duties include managing student discipline, implementing behavior interventions, overseeing parent/teacher conferences and actively driving Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) alongside the Student Services team. Furthermore, the position provides vital instructional and staff support in conducting Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) evaluations, managing substitute coordination, and supporting academic and CTE instructors. Finally, the individual ensures campus safety and student success by supervising emergency drills and providing administrative oversight during lunch, student events, and various extracurricular activities. Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master''s degree or higher in Educational Administration or a related field, along with a valid administrative licensure from the Ohio Department of Education, such as a Principal, Assistant Principal, or another appropriate administrative certificate. Additionally, holding an Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) certification, or demonstrating immediate eligibility to obtain it, is required. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience, with previous administrative or supervisory experience preferred. Given the school''s mission, prior experience in Career-Technical Education (CTE) or workforce training is also highly valued.
