The Wautoma Area School District is seeking a highly effective, student-centered educational leader to serve as the Assistant Principal/Dean of Students at Wautoma Elementary School, a 4K-6th grade school serving approximately 425 students and supported by 55 dedicated staff members.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the highest standards of ethical and professional leadership while fostering a safe, positive, and academically engaging learning environment for all students. This leader will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the school, support the effective management of organizational resources, and collaborate with staff, students, families, and the community to advance student achievement and continuous school improvement.

The Assistant Principal/Dean of Students will:

  • Model behavior consistent with legal, ethical, and professional standards.
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members.
  • Support a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate that promotes student success.
  • Collaborate with the principal and staff to improve teaching, learning, and student outcomes.
  • Assist with student discipline, attendance, behavior supports, and family engagement.
  • Use data to inform decision-making and support continuous school improvement.
  • Contribute positively to the district''s administrative team while engaging in ongoing professional learning.
