PreK-8 School District of Excellence seeks exceptional candidates for a position for SY 2026-27:

Are you a natural leader with a passion for student success and a knack for keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for a dynamic Assistant Principal to join our leadership team!

In this role, you'll be the ultimate multi-tasker-serving as an important Administrative team member, a mentor for students, and a champion for our school community. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this is the place for you.

What You Need:

  • Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate or eligibility
  • Minimum experience as determined by the board
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in the areas of curriculum and staff development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
  • Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

What You'll Do:

  • Lead & Inspire: Partner with the Principal to oversee daily school operations, supervise faculty, and step in as the building leader when the principal is away.
  • Champion Student Success: Maintain a positive school culture by enforcing discipline policies, resolving behavioral challenges, and ensuring a safe, supervised environment (from the classroom to the cafeteria).
  • Master the Operations: Handle the gears behind the scenes-from managing budgets, inventory, and supplies to coordinating safety drills, transportation, and cafeterias.
  • Keep Us Connected: Act as a key point of contact for parents and visitors, manage critical attendance data, and assist with state/federal reporting.

Terms of Employment: Full time, 12-month year

Salary: in accordance with the HTAA contract, minimum starting $100,000
