This is a public charter school serving grades 9-12 and is looking for an education leader with an entrepreneurial spirit. The Assistant Principal of the school is responsible for implementing the mission and vision of Career Path High. The Assistant Principal will create and maintain an outstanding school culture, hiring and developing leadership in staff members, and empowering students for educational success.   *This is a non-profit charter high school that is reinventing secondary education. We are a cutting-edge, blended learning flex model that has integrated innovative technology and best-in-class education strategies to provide each student with a personalized education program and a direct pathway to college and career.* * * *Students are located on a nearby campus and simultaneously immersed in a high school track while experiencing a college environment. Through an optimal blend of virtual instruction and hands-on mentored training, our students are receiving a world-class education that prepares them to be strong leaders and contributing citizens.* * * *Our model is based on the commitment that every student will graduate with a high school diploma and a pathway to a career through technical certification and/or college. The goal is 100% student placement either in the workforce, an institution of higher education, or continuation in an Applied Technology College program.*   ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL POSITION OVERVIEW   o   Work effectively with the Board of Directors to execute the mission and vision of the school. o   Implement the school's mission and model through dynamic, persistent, and effective leadership and management of all stakeholders (including faculty, staff, students, parents, and the community). o   Lead and develop a team that will prepare our students for success in college, career, and life. o   Set a powerful vision for achievement and create a culture of high expectations and accountability. o   Manage and oversee school site functions, including all aspects of the instructional program, school environment, and the operational and fiscal health of the school. o   Drive the innovation and recreation of what is possible in secondary education, including integrating technology to personalize the learning paths of our students.   RESPONSIBILITIES o   Implement a high-quality, college-preparatory blended learning program that promotes student mastery, critical thinking, and continuous growth. o   Build and maintain a positive working relationship with the campus. o   Collaborate with the campus to provide students a successful career path. o   Maintain school-wide focus on ambitious achievement goals for all students. o   Develop a school culture that fosters personal responsibility and empowers students over their own learning and career pathways. o   Use data to inform practice and drive decision-making and instruction at the school to improve student and staff achievement. o   Hire, lead, and manage a collaborative school team to deliver exceptional results. o   Develop and support teachers through training, observation, feedback, and coaching. o   Promote a culture of continuous improvement amongst the faculty and staff. o   Foster a safe and welcoming school environment where students and adults can thrive. o   Build positive relationships with all stakeholders, including parents and the community. o   Allocate school resources effectively to support learning goals. o   Establish effective systems for school operations, including the development of processes, procedures and policies. o   Implement quality evaluation methods of all programs to support and improve student achievement. o   Assess the budget needs of the school and develop and manage the annual operating budget. o   Acquire, supervise, and retain outstanding faculty members and develop and articulate faculty and staff expectations. o   Will understand recruitment and retention of students and be able to implement effective practices to maintain and grow school enrollment.   QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS o   Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience; Masters Degree a plus. o   Prior secondary educational administration experience preferred. o   Online or blended learning administration or instructional experience preferred. o   Deep understanding of personalized learning and competency-based education. o   Leadership experience with demonstrated exemplary results and experience working with diverse students and communities. o   Ability to work and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. o   Successful track record of effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. o   Experience in using multiple technology platforms and the ability to quickly learn new tools and applications. o   Experience and understanding of school budgets and finances.   WHAT WE OFFER We are seeking to hire an Assistant Principal effective immediately.
