Position Overview
Moorestown Township Public Schools is seeking a student-centered, forward-thinking Assistant Principal to join our leadership team. This role is an opportunity to lead in a high-performing district committed to excellence, belonging, and preparing every student for what comes next.
The Assistant Principal is a visible leader who supports instruction, strengthens school culture, and ensures a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities
Lead for Learning
- Support high-quality instruction and continuous improvement across all classrooms
- Collaborate on curriculum, programming, and innovative learning experiences
- Promote a culture where all students are challenged, supported, and known
Foster Belonging & Student Success
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and safe school climate
- Support student conduct through a lens of growth, accountability, and fairness
- Oversee systems of support, intervention, and student well-being
Build Strong Relationships
- Partner with students, staff, families, and the community
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the school day and at events
- Communicate clearly and consistently to build trust and connection
Develop People
- Supervise and evaluate staff to support professional growth
- Provide meaningful feedback that improves teaching and learning

Support Operations

Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Principal Certificate
- Demonstrated leadership in instruction, school improvement, and staff development
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Commitment to equity, belonging, and student-centered decision making
