Position Summary:

Arlington Elementary is seeking to hire an Assistant Principal. The successful candidate will help promote the learning and growth of all students and the success of all staff by cultivating a shared vision that makes powerful teaching and learning the central focus of schooling.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Supervises and directs personnel assigned to building as delegated by the Principal.
• Assists in the supervision, evaluation and improvement of the instructional program and process.
• Assists in the preparation of student schedules.
• Assists staff in compiling the annual budget requests.
• Requisitions supplies and equipment, and maintains inventories and records.
• Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance.
• Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, and deals with special cases as necessary.
• Assists with parent, faculty, and student groups in advancing educational and related activities and objectives.
• Assists with parent, faculty, and student groups in the continuous improvement of curriculum.
• Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as the Principal may from time to time assign.
• Supervises, directs and evaluates all personnel assigned to school as delegated by the Principal.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid State Certification as an elementary or middle grade principal
• Possess a Master's Degree
• At least 5 years of successful elementary or middle grade experience
• Evidence of professional leadership skills
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may find appropriate and acceptable
• Proficient in English- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Pay Range

• $113,059-$124,454
