Qualifications
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent manufacturing experience.
· 3–5 years of manufacturing or fabrication experience.
· Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience preferred.
· Experience in heavy manufacturing, fabrication, welding, industrial equipment, pressure vessels, or similar manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
· Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems preferred.
· Eagerness to learn advanced manufacturing processes, quality systems, and production management.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with welding, fabrication, machining, or industrial assembly.
· Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
· Exposure to ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.
· Experience working in highly regulated or code-driven manufacturing environments is a plus.
· Assist in coordinating daily manufacturing operations to meet production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
· Provide day-to-day leadership for production employees and supervise operations in the absence of the Production Manager.
· Monitor workflow, labor utilization, and production schedules to maximize efficiency.
· Ensure products are manufactured according to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards.
· Support compliance with quality procedures, industry standards, and manufacturing regulations.
· Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and Shipping to resolve production challenges and improve workflow.
· Assist with employee training, coaching, and workforce development initiatives.
· Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, productivity, quality, and cost reduction.
· Track key production metrics including throughput, efficiency, scrap, rework, and on-time delivery.
· Promote a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
· Support inventory management, production planning, and scheduling activities.
· Participate in customer audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
