Role Purpose: To plan and provision or control raw and semi-finish stock for customer orders which best utilizes semi-finish and finished goods that will result in the timely manufacture of these products which will develop and maintain high standard of customer service both internally and externally.

Role Qualifications: (Required & Preferred)

Education: 2 yr. associate's degree (P), or equivalent planning experience (P)

Experience: 2 + yr. Warehouse or Manufacturing Planning (P), Planning / Scheduling / Productions Control (P), Manufacturing (P)

Accountabilities for the Role:

  • Be aware of and practice, 100%, all safety procedures throughout the plant
  • Receive, systematically, material within 24 hours of physical receipt
  • Plan, route, audit and issue maximum amount of material available within planning guidelines
  • Provide backup coverage for other areas assigned including Production Planning Manager
  • Work changes, back orders, cancellations and shippers within 24 hours of receipt
  • Answer inquiries within 24 hours of receipt
  • Continually assist in the development, updating and streamlining of base routings
  • Continually assist in the development and streamlining of current systems
  • Keep department informed of special procedures, changes or new developments in base routings, a specific customer, specification or product
