Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, Retina Specialist - Ruiz Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science, McGovern Medical School

McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified clinician with retina fellowship training to join the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science . This is an academic track position, with research and teaching opportunities and expectations. We will entertain all applicants at the Assistant/Associate/ Full Professor level. Those with an established funded research program may be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.

Position Key Accountabilities:

This academic-track position includes research and teaching responsibilities. Clinical duties will be shared between our primary teaching site, Cizik Eye Clinic , and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital , both located in the Texas Medical Center. The allocation of time between the two locations will be determined based on departmental needs.

Qualifications:

• Completed fellowship training or equivalent in medical retina.
• Board certified/eligible in ophthalmology.
• Eligible for a medical license in the state of Texas.
