Position Purpose

Qualified applicants are sought for a full-time Assistant Professor position in Biology.

Location

This is an on-campus position requiring a presence in Lebanon, TN during the fall and spring semesters.

Knowledge, Skills     And Abilities

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate classes in Biology, academic advising, continuous course and program level assessment, committee work, and other related duties as assigned.

Excellent written and oral communication and the willingness and ability to work collaboratively with others are required.

Demonstrated excellence in teaching, engagement in scholarship, and commitment to university service are highly desirable.

Relevant knowledge that ranges from Principles of Biology to upper division courses including Human Anatomy and Physiology, Botany, Zoology, and/or Microbiology.

Experience

Prior college-level teaching experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Education

Ph.D. in Biology, preference given to those with graduate coursework in other sciences as well.
