TheDepartment of Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State has 9 tenure-track facultyand 2 teaching faculty with an NAE member and over 2.1M in annual researchexpenditure. The Department is home to one of the top programs in the countryfor Injury Biomechanics. The Department offers an ABET accredited B.S. degreeseveral M.S. degree programs traditional and online including an M.S. in InjuryBiomechanics a Graduate Certificate in Injury Biomechanics and a Ph.D. in BiomedicalEngineering or Biomedical Imaging. Currently we have approximately 130undergraduate students 45 M.S. and 25 Ph.D. students. The department iscommitted to building a diverse faculty preeminent in its missions of researchteaching and service to the community.
