The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a states urban R1 University, offers over 32,000 students a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The University is located in one of the New Souths most beautiful cities. With a population of 2 million in its metropolitan region, there is a vast array of cultural and recreational opportunities and outstanding medical and community services to meet the varied interests and needs of its community members. The University is within the bounds of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS), one of the largest urban school districts in the country. With CAEP accreditation, the Cato College of Education serves undergraduate and graduate programs, including five doctoral programs, and has one of the largest teacher education programs in North Carolina.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities --------------------------------------
The ideal candidate is expected to maintain high scholarly productivity in research consistent with the Universitys R1 status related to Elementary Education. The candidate is also expected to seek external funds to support research activities, teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid, collaborate with community partners on education initiatives, and provide service to the University and their profession.
