Candidate must have a Master's degree in CHemistry, Biology or a related field with 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.

Pay Range:

$28.55 - $42.85

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with the program chair to review and update the curriculum to be relevant.

  • Teach and facilitate student learning; teaching activities may occur online or face-to-face in a classroom, clinical, lab, or fieldwork setting.

  • Build degree programs that embodies coherent courses of study and allows students to progressively build upon and integrate their knowledge and skills.

  • Develop knowledge of pedagogy, academic discipline, and as appropriate, clinical profession including scholarship activities.

  • Contribute to the improvement of the College community through service to the College and broader community.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • Documents high level of competence in teaching and related activities.

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Chemistry required or minimum of a Master's degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline; concentration depends upon needs of the Program.

  • Minimum of 3 years experience full time instructional experience required.

  • Must have the mathematical and scientific ability to accurately formulate various solutions, buffers, and chemical mixtures for instructional purposes.

  • Qualifications or certifications that include expertise in chemical hygiene, regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, EPA, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Chemical Hygiene Officer (CHO)) and knowledge of advanced analytical instrumentation will be advantageous.
