JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction, provide classroom and supervision of Fire Science courses within the Department of Public Service Education. Primary teaching area will be in Fire Science. Responsible for creating an innovative learning environment both inside and outside the classroom to inspire success and excellence in student learning. Instructional faculty members are also expected to adhere to professional standards and ethics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time and to present verbal lectures/demonstrations, walk, bend, lift, reach up, stoop, and occasionally carry items in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds. Some lifting of computer and electronic equipment may be required. It also requires manual dexterity to operate standard office machines, such as, copier, fax, calculator, telephone, and other equipment as necessary.
