Assistant Professor- Internal Medicine

Overview:

The Department of Medicine at Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University is seeking an Assistant Professor to participate in patient care, education and research.

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care to patients in a office/hospital setting
• Collaborate with Nursing, office staff, administration in patient care.
• Participate in academic/clinical/research activates as needed.
• Participate in education evaluations and career development of students, residents, fellow, and staff.
• Participate in committees as assigned
• Manage day to day activities in accordance with EVMS policies and procedures and the policies and procedures of supporting institutions.
• Counseling of students for academic performance, life skills and professionalism
• Collaborate with peers, faculty and support staff

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications and Skills:

• MD, DO, MB, or MBBA, State of VA license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous work in an academic/teaching setting.
