Position Summary The School of Information Studies SOIS seeks an Assistant Professor of Library and Information Science specializing in information services in public libraries. The successful candidate for this position will contribute to teaching, advising, scholarship, and service aligned with the Universitys mission and commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice. They will help develop innovative curricula that prepare students for roles in public libraries and other community-focused information settings. Areas of emphasis include intellectual freedom, adult services, readers advisory, information and digital literacy, community engagement, and inclusive user-centered service design. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion, expertise in contemporary information settings, and understanding of strong partnerships with libraries, community organizations, and diverse civic agencies.

Salary and FLSA Status FLSA Status: Exempt, full-time Salary: $65,000 - $81,000 Benefits
