The MechanicalEngineering Department at Wayne State University invites candidates to applyfor a tenure-track faculty position. We expect to make the appointment at theAssistant Professor level but will consider exceptional senior-levelcandidates with a strong track record of major external funding andpeer-reviewed publications.Dutiesinvolve teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels introducing newcourses in the applicants respective field of expertise developing a strong recordof peer-reviewed journal publications establishing an impactful andsustainable externally funded research program supervising and mentoringboth graduate and undergraduate students and engaging in professionalsocieties and university services.The anticipated starting date of employment is August 18 2026. This position is a 9-month appointment.
