Job Description
Summary The Assistant Professor-NTTA and Program Director provides academic and administrative leadership for the BS in Nursing program, overseeing program operations, curriculum implementation, faculty coordination, and student outcomes. This role ensures compliance with NYSED requirements and national accreditation standards, including leadership of the CCNE accreditation process, monitoring academic quality, overseeing ATI across undergraduate courses, and preparing required reports. The position includes teaching in the BS program, evaluating and supporting faculty in didactic and clinical settings, coordinating course offerings, advising students, supporting recruitment and retention efforts, and participating in departmental, school, and campus governance, while promoting continuous improvement and high academic standards.
Key Responsibilities Duties typically include, but are not limited to, the following:
Faculty development Curriculum development and evaluation Planning, implementing and ongoing evaluation of course content Chairing and participating in ongoing department and undergraduate program meetings Maintenance of academic quality and compliance with regulations of the State Education Department and the requirements for accreditation of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Oversees ATI for all undergraduate courses
