    Position Title: Admission Counselor

    Position Summary:

    Culver-Stockton College is seeking a passionate and qualified Admission Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the College\'s mission by recruiting quality students through a variety of efforts including travel and correspondence with prospective students and their families. This role is instrumental in fostering student growth, upholding institutional values, and supporting a culture of excellence within the department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintaining awareness of the campus programs of academic affairs, student development, retention, and athletics.

    • Scheduling campus visit dates with prospective students and hosting campus visitors.

    • Planning and execution of both on-and off-campus visit programs along with orientation programs.

    • Cultivating alumni, faculty, administration, and others to assist with the recruitment process and continue relationship development with prospective students through use of personal contact, personal notes, and social media.

    • Prepare reports including those detailing weekly activity, qualifying inquiries and the status of potential students from assigned areas of recruitment.

    • Responsible for monitoring the prospects, inquiries, applications, acceptances, and deposited student numbers from the assigned responsibility area and determining the next best steps in the recruitment process of each prospective student.

    • This position requires the ability and willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight, and to work evenings and weekends as necessary and appropriate.

    • This position requires a positive public appearance at all times including presence on social media.

    Position Summary:

    The Assistant Director of Admission plays a key role in welcoming future students to the college community and supporting the overall goals of the Admission Office. Working closely with the Director of Admission and the Vice President of Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director helps support the day-to-day office operations and contributes to long-term planning and strategy.

    This role includes managing a specific recruitment territory, which involves travel to high schools and college fairs, building relationships with students and families, and guiding them through every step of the admissions process--from initial interest to enrollment.

    The Assistant Director of Admission will serve as the primary coordinator for the Student Ambassador Program, a key initiative designed to engage current students in the recruitment and campus visit experience. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and training student ambassadors to serve as campus tour guides, event hosts, and peer representatives of the college. The Assistant Director will oversee the day-to-day scheduling and performance of ambassadors, provide ongoing mentorship and leadership development opportunities, and ensure that ambassadors effectively represent the college\'s values and culture.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for learning and understanding the philosophy and functions of the College, and to follow the expectations of the Employee Handbook.

    • Responsible for international recruitment, including service as a Designated School Official (DSO) that works with prospective and current international students.

    • Analyze current and historical admissions results and trends within the geographic territory and develop and implement strategies to surpass enrollment goals.

    • Responsible for training and supervising student workers and maintaining student worker payroll.

    • Assist the Director of Admission with training and developing new Admission staff.

    • Responsible for supervising all Admission staff members in the absence of the Director of Admission.

    • A Bachelor\'s Degree from an accredited institution is required.

    Position Title: Dining Experience Steward

    Department: Dining Services

    Reports To: Directory of Culinary Experience

    Employment Type: Full-time, 12-month, Salaried

    Position Summary:

    The Dining Experience Steward manages back-of-house operations. They are responsible for inventory management, delivery management, stocking, fulfilling catering requests, ordering items, and ensuring consistent adherence to food safety and quality standards. The Steward manages all inventory, assets, and items so that the Cook and Culinary team can prepare the meals as scheduled. The Steward customarily and regularly supervises and directs approximately five full time and up to ten student employees at a given time, in coordination with the Director of Dining Experience. This role leads the closing team, coordinates production for the Cook team, supports staff, and ensures the dining program closes successfully for the next day. This role will serve a joint hiring officer for back of house roles. This role is a part of the Dining Experience Leadership Team. This is a full-time, 12-month role with frequent/usual weekend shifts. This position is benefits eligible for all the College\'s superb benefits, including tuition remission for certain individuals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operations & Duties

    • Maintain cleanliness in the back of house at all three locations.

    • Lead the closing of cafeteria, Cat\'s Pause, and LAB (or assigned venues).

    • Serve as the primary manager of operations and cleanliness for the Caf and CP.

    • Verify that all stations are set up, stocked, and ready before service begins.

    • Create production sheets, prep lists, and menu requirements for the next day.

    • Ensure accurate dinner production, including allergen-safe prep.

    • Conduct evening equipment checks and report maintenance issues.

    • Menu Management

    • Work with the Director of Culinary Experience on solidifying menus and that we have the inventory in stock to execute those menus.

    • Update the menu management system.

    • Manage the inventory in the system for online ordering.

    • Ensure that there are proper menus for all special events and theme nights in coordination with the Director of Dining Experience.

    • Catering

    • Once the Director of Dining Experience receives a catering order, ensure that all food-related items are ordered and that they are prepared according to the customer wishes. The Steward may be expected to support the Director of Dining Experience with event set-up, logistics, and/or other non-food related requirements.

    • Staff Leadership & Coordination

    • Support others in the Dining Leadership team with supervision of all employees.

    • Support the Director of Culinary Experience with food preparation.

    • Provide coaching, support, and hands-on help during peak service times.

    • Manage the onboarding of new back of house employees, including student employees.

    • The Steward may and should correct employees who are not in line with Department policies and expectations and has the ability to make recommendations on hiring, discipline, and termination that are given significant consideration by the Division of Student Experience and Human Resources.

    • Food Quality, Safety & Allergen Compliance

    • Maintain strict adherence to HACCP, sanitation, and campus safety protocols.

    • Ensure proper labeling, temperature logs, and cross-contact prevention.

    • Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation throughout breakfast and lunch.

    • Customer Service & Campus Engagement

    • Create a welcoming, positive environment for students, faculty, and staff.

    • Address customer questions or concerns promptly and professionally.

    • Model excellent service standards for all team members.

    • Inventory, Prep, & Production Support

    • Monitor nightly inventory levels and communicate shortages or overproduction.

    • Ensure that Utility staff keep a log of items thrown away from the night.

    • Manage all receiving, storage, rotation, and waste tracking procedures.

    • Ensure accurate execution of recipes and prep lists for the day\'s menu.

    • Coordinate the Supervisory team to ensure smooth handoff between shifts.

    • Administrative Responsibilities

    • Complete appropriate checklists, shift reports, and attendance records.

    • Communicate daily updates, menu changes, and operational needs to the Vice President.

    • Support scheduling by serving on call for no shows.

    • Ensure compliance with meal plan and student ID card procedures at POS stations.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in food service, hospitality, or institutional dining (college/university preferred).

    • Prior supervisory or lead worker experience strongly encouraged.

    • Strong understanding of food safety and allergen protocols.

    • Excellent communication, organization, and problem solving skills.

    • Ability to lead early morning teams and manage multiple priorities.

    • ServSafe certification or equivalent (or ability to obtain).

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand for extended periods and left up to 40 lbs.

    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Department: Physical Plant

    Reports To: Director of Facilities

    Position Summary:

    The Maintenance Technician ensures the physical integrity, safety, and functionality of college facilities, including academic buildings, residence halls, athletic facilities, etc. This position requires high level customer service, working with students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician contributes to the College's mission, vision, and values by working both individually and as part of a team to complete maintenance projects and work orders and perform routine repairs and extensive preventive maintenance. This position supports other maintenance positions, assisting with grounds and snow removal, special event set ups, etc. Work is expected to be prioritized and completed in a timely and quality manner, and within budget constraints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform interior and exterior general maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.

    • Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of life safety systems, HVAC support tasks, and campus facilities to identify and address issues proactively.

    • Ensure safety and regulatory compliance by following OSHA and other safety standards and assisting with training staff on proper procedures.

    • Manage maintenance requests by ordering parts, completing work orders and documentation, maintaining inventory, and coordinating with contractors and vendors.

    • Support special campus needs such as event setup, furniture moving, athletics support, grounds maintenance, snow removal, overtime, and emergency response.

    • Use tools safely and efficiently, communicate equipment and improvement needs to leadership, and contribute to improved customer service and operational efficiency.

    • Participate in staff meetings, maintain confidentiality, complete required training and certifications, follow all college policies, report incidents, and supervise or train student employees as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of high school diploma.

    • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a related position. Three (3) to five (5) years' experience is preferred.

    • must have general understanding of the major responsibilities of the position.

    • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team and communicate and resolve issues tactfully and respectfully.

    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey and understand tasks, directives, etc.

    • Ability to work unsupervised as needed and make independent decisions within the scope of the position.

    • Basic knowledge of computers, use of email, web-based applications, and internet search tools.

    • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

    • Ability to respond to campus for after-hours emergencies, work extended hours or overtime, and different shifts as needed.

    Position Title: Residential Experience Coordinator

    Position Summary:

    The Residential Experience Coordinator contributes as a member of a highly collaborative Student Experience Division staff team. The Division of Student Experience is committed to ensuring students are prepared to be bold, think big, and create change by providing an enriching and outcomes-focused out of the classroom experience.

    While the Residential Experience Coordinator will be expected to support and supplement assignment coordination, key management, and partnering with Facilities Management, the primary responsibility of this role is supervision and policy management. The Coordinator will supervise the College\'s Resident Directors and Resident Assistants to ensure all requirements are being met and that our student employees are receiving frequent coaching and training. The Residential Experience Coordinator is also responsible for the continual assessment and evaluation of the personnel and programs that comprise the overall residence life program.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • The selection and hiring of all residence life employees, including para-professional and student staff.

    • Coordinate the training and development of the staff to ensure they are fully equipped to carry out the full scope of their responsibilities.

    • Provide timely and effective performance feedback for all residence life staff. This includes formal evaluations that should be conducted annually.

    • Promote, coordinate and evaluate residence life programming that will address student issues and concerns while establishing residential communities that are safe, healthy, welcoming and inclusive.

    • Develop a residential experience for students geared toward learning opportunities that partner with the College\'s academic initiatives, commensurate with both the College and Student Experience mission and vision.

    • Plan, coordinate, implement, and supervise all operational functions of move-in, move-out, residence hall programming, and damage assessments in partnership with the Director of Residence Life and Conduct.

    • Monitor residence hall staff compliance with health and safety issues and ensure that appropriate referrals are made and documentation is provided, when necessary.

    • The Coordinator of Residence Life is responsible for providing training for the RAs that may write conduct reports.

    • Coordinate all written communication relative to residence life. This includes the editing and publishing of all Residence Life policies and procedures in the student handbook, administering the terms and conditions for on-campus living to residential students, and establishing and publishing a calendar including all significant housing-related events for each academic year. These documents are to be routinely updated, with communication being delivered to various constituents in a timely manner.

    • Manage the programming budgets for all residence hall staff.

    • Assist with the identification and prioritization of residence hall facilities and equipment needs.

    • Maintain strong relationships with both internal agencies (physical plant, campus safety, etc) as well as external vendors (laundry services, linen services, marketing consultants, furniture manufacturers, etc) whose services are critical to the functionality of residence life.

    • Coordinate with other campus departments (athletics, admission, campus safety etc) for events that require the use of housing facilities (athletic camps, events hosted by local groups and agencies, local emergencies and disasters, functions held by private groups).

    • Prepare residence life housing reports as requested.

    • Assume regular availability for student emergencies on campus and to provide consultation for on-call staff members in emergency situations.

    • Is part of the administrative on-call rotation and when on call must be available to respond to emergencies.

    • Remain abreast of best practices and new developments for the areas of residence life, housing, judicial affairs and student development and disperse information to residence life staff when appropriate.

    • Represent the Division of Student Experience on matters related to residence life and serve on committees as necessary.

    • Participate in various campus committees as assigned and/or chair those various committees.

    • Attend regional and national professional conferences as deemed necessary.

    • Assist RAs in the on-going evaluation of their residents\' needs and work together to provide a supportive response.

    • Build relationships with Culver-Stockton College\'s campus safety staff.

    • Intervene and deal with inappropriate behavior and complete documentation as necessary.

    • Share evening and weekend on-call responsibility for emergency situations.

    • Coordinate the RA summer and winter trainings as needed.

    • Educate residents about college and community expectations.

    • Maintain confidentiality of all departmental and institutional information in accordance with the Privacy Act as well as established policies and procedures governing the release of information.

    • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with faculty, staff, students and the community.

    • Knowledge and understanding of administrative policies and procedures.

    • Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.

    • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment and be able to communicate effectively in a professional manner.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor\'s Degree required. Master\'s Degree in College Student Personnel or related Higher Education degree preferred.

    • 1-2 years of experience working with college aged students in a related field.

    • PC skills including, but not limited to, word processing and spreadsheets, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Internet and e-mail.
