    Responsibilities

    • Teach undergraduate and graduate-level jazz trumpet students, and supervise graduate teaching assistants.
    • Recruit and maintain a successful teaching studio
    • Serve on doctoral and master's committees and juries.
    • Maintain a professional career as a performing artist.
    • Participate in university and professional service activities nationally and internationally as appropriate.
    • Additional responsibilities may include teaching courses in the candidate's area of expertise.

    Qualifications

    A doctoral degree in a related field or a master's degree with equivalent professional experience is required at the time of appointment.

    The successful candidate will:

    • Hold a record of successful university-level teaching experience and proven artistry as a professional performer.
    • Demonstrate strong commitment to the recruitment of outstanding students.

    Considerations

    This is a Faculty position.

    This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
