The Opportunity
The John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) at the University of Hawaii is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Infectious Diseases physician to join the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing academic infectious disease group, help shape and expand clinical programs, and participate in clinical research - all while enjoying an exceptional quality of life in one of the most desirable places to live in the world.
The position is based within a nationally recognized clinical and research program with strengths in HIV, emerging infections, and global infectious disease threats. The successful candidate will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving infectious disease outcomes statewide, with ongoing programmatic development toward a Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases.
No prior research experience is required. Mentorship and training in clinical research methods will be provided for physicians who are eager to learn and grow in an academic environment.
