Our growing program currently has opportunities in pediatric, psychiatric, leadership, community, geriatric, maternity and evidence-based practice nursing. The department of Health Sciences and Nursing is committed to fostering an inclusive, collaborative learning environment that prepares graduates to meet evolving healthcare needs. Faculty are expected to support innovation in nursing education and contribute to the continued development of a high-quality baccalaureate program.
The primary responsibility of Eastern Connecticut State University''s Health Sciences and Nursing Department faculty is teaching across didactic, clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings, with a workload expectation of 12 FLCs per semester, while also serving the department through curriculum development, nursing and health science research, program and student evaluation, academic advising, and participation in professional service activities. Faculty are evaluated yearly on teaching, service, research and creative activity, and professional activity.

Compensation and Employee Benefits:
The Assistant Professor of Nursing, Tenure Track is compensated at the Assistant Professor salary level in accordance with the Connecticut State University American Association of University Professors (CSU-AAUP) Collective Bargaining Unit Agreement.
