Assistant Professor of Practice
We invite applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor of Practice position. We are seeking candidates whose primary expertise is in Exercise Physiology or Biomechanics and who are also qualified to teach courses in Strength and Conditioning, Exercise Prescription, and/or Anatomy and Physiology. Individuals interested in the Assistant Professor of Practice position should have a passion for teaching and mentorship, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on experience in the field.

Department
Department of Kinesiology
The Department of Kinesiology has 12 tenured/tenure-track and 5 full-time non-tenured faculty. The department offers both bachelors and masters degrees designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in various fields in Kinesiology. The programs are grounded in research, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education based on the latest scientific findings. Salary Range: Up to $55,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications.

Position Summary
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Exercise Physiology or in Biomechanics, as well as undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas: Strength and Conditioning, Exercise Prescription, and Anatomy and Physiology (90% teaching). Experience in teaching Clinical Exercise Testing and Prescription and Electrocardiography is desirable.
Engaging in service activities (10%) that contribute to the mission of the department and university. Contribution to program development and community outreach related to their teaching expertise is also expected.
Qualifications
PhD in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, or a related field.
Or a master's degree and exceptional experience as an exercise physiologist.
This position may require the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48.
