Franklin Pierce University seeks a dynamic faculty member for a dual appointment as Assistant Professor in our Sports Media and Communication programs. The successful candidate will teach production courses in both programs, as well as courses in the candidate’s area of interests. This new faculty member will also serve as primary advisor to Sports Media students and will be the public face of the program for admissions and publicity purposes. The successful candidate will also support coordination between the Sports Media Program and Ravens Sports Network, our sports broadcasting operation. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the University’s General and Liberal Education Program, particularly the required First-Year Inquiry Seminar.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Communication or other applicable field. An appropriate master’s degree with significant experience may be considered. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a record of effective college-level teaching, strong commitment to undergraduate education, advising, and mentorship, the ability to contribute to institutions service, and maintain an active program of professional development and scholarship. Start Date August 2026.
