• Provides patient care in the area of colon and rectal care and consultation in an academic medical center in hospital and outpatient settings
• Instructs and supervises medical students and surgery residents
• Performs colon and rectal procedures
• Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship
• Provides on-call coverage, as scheduled
• Serves the academic community through participations in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
• Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission
• Ensures compliance and HIPAA and billing regulations
• Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

• Board Certification in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery
• Board Certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery
• Experience in teaching students and residents
• Experience in conducting research and publishing scientific reports
• Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of associate professor
