The Department of Chemistry at Xavier University of Louisiana invites applicants for a non-tenure track position in Chemistry at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2026. The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Education; experience teaching at the undergraduate level; and a commitment to working with students from diverse backgrounds.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability and willingness to work collegially with a 4-4 teaching load are essential. Ideal candidates should also have the ability to develop and teach face-to-face as well as online classes. The department is seeking an applicant who is willing to teach and serve as the Organic Chemistry Laboratory Coordinator. The Lab Coordinator has the following responsibilities:
The Department of Chemistry at Xavier University of Louisiana is one of the highest-ranked undergraduate programs in the country for students from underrepresented areas in the sciences. The Department offers several degree programs in Chemistry and Biochemistry at the undergraduate level only.
