Job Description:
The Department of Philosophy at Le Moyne College invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, to begin August 2027. The department seeks candidates with an Area of Specialization [AOS] in Social Epistemology and Areas of Competence [AOCs] in Philosophy of Race or of Feminisms, Philosophy of Law, and Applied Ethics. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach courses in their Area of Specialization that appeal to a variety of undergraduate students as well as to teach courses in our Core Curriculum.
Expectations are teaching 3 courses per semester (or 9 credit hours per semester).
Requirements:
Qualified candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in Philosophy by the position start date, demonstrate excellence in teaching, and have an active agenda of high-quality research.

Range: $59,200 - 61,700 annually
