Position description
We seek to appoint two new faculty members in School Psychology with expertise focused on advancing science supporting: (a) the social, emotional, and behavioral development and success of diverse children and youth at school, and/or (b) the academic and cognitive development and success of diverse children and youth at school. Candidates may demonstrate expertise in one or both of these areas. The two appointed faculty members will further the program's reputation as a national and international leader in related scholarship, teaching, and clinical expertise.
Recent and prospective doctoral recipients, post-doctoral scholars, researchers, and faculty members at early career stages are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities will include (a) research and grant-writing, (b) graduate and undergraduate teaching, (c) clinical supervision, (d) doctoral student advising, and (e) university and public service.
Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a doctoral program in School Psychology or a closely related field. At the time of application, applicants must have completed all doctoral degree requirements except the dissertation and/or predoctoral internship; applicants who are currently completing their predoctoral internship are eligible to apply.
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
Doctorate in School Psychology or related field by start date.
Preferred qualifications
Doctoral Degree from an APA Accredited institution
Licensed or license-eligible in CA
Potential for Research Productivitiy
Potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
Ability to interact and work collaboratively
Ability to work with undergraduates
Ability to work independently
