Job Overview - Assistant Program Director (LMSW):
Our client in New York, NY, is seeking an Assistant Program Director (LMSW) to supervise clinical and case management staff and assist the Director in overseeing subcontractors. The role focuses on securing safe housing for street homeless individuals and expediting their transition to permanent housing and services.

Compensation: $75,000 - $82,000/year
Location: New York, NY
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday


Responsibilities as the Assistant Program Director (LMSW):
  • Program Management: Oversee social service delivery, including program oversight, staff supervision, and training.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Coordinate with external stakeholders, including service partners, government representatives, and community agencies, to ensure effective service planning and operations.
  • Leadership: Provide clinical and operational leadership to the program, addressing client engagement and challenging behaviors.
  • Housing Placement: Promote a culture focused on housing placement as a success metric and ensure clients are prepared for housing.
  • Client Assessment: Assess and evaluate client functioning, supervise case conferences, and coordinate care delivery with multiple service providers.
Qualifications for the Assistant Program Director (LMSW):
  • Education: Master’s degree required (NYS LMSW or LCSW strongly preferred).
  • Experience: 2+ years supervisory experience, preferably in 24/7 programs and with homeless populations.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Access-based databases.
  • Language: Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
