Position Overview

The Construction Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This individual will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, client relationships, and project execution while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with experience managing commercial construction projects and exposure to healthcare, manufacturing, clean room, pharmaceutical, biopharma, or semiconductor environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Lead project planning, execution, and overall project delivery.
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Conduct regular jobsite visits to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, project specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Manage procurement activities, including materials and equipment delivery.
  • Lead project meetings and provide clear communication to all stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and present project updates, financial reports, and progress reports to leadership and clients.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Support business objectives through exceptional project execution and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor"s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with construction management software, including Procore and Sage.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building codes, and safety standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brookfield, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
