Job Description
- Assist in developing detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment of project aspects with stakeholder's expectations.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and daily logs.
- Prepare and distribute regular progress reports to the project manager and stakeholders.
- Assist in tracking project budgets and expenditures.
- Help in preparing cost estimates and forecasts.
- Help develop and update project schedules.
- Provide on-site support to the project manager and site supervisors.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- At least a full year of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in commercial construction
- Shows strong follow through, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate project needs before they become problems.
- Comfortable supporting schedule updates, cost tracking, procurement, and change management processes.
- Works well under pressure, adapts quickly, and remains solutions oriented in a fast paced environment.
- Eager to learn, open to mentorship, and driven to grow into a future Project Manager.
