Client Details

This client is a growing General Contractor based out of Raleigh, NC. The leadership of this organization has a myriad of experience leading GCs in the RTP area and they have developed a great reputation with clients. This GC is steadily adding to their growing pipeline of work in the Southeast, building commercial projects from Virginia through Florida. With the large amount of work to be done - and more coming in - this client is looking to add a great Assistant Project Manager to their team!

Description

The successful Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction will:

  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly schedule to support and preserve the Contract Project Schedule
  • Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required
  • Dictate or prepare project reports for management, client, or others
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Take part and assist with the pre-planning and conceptual phase
  • Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders and maintain them moving forward
  • Work with subcontractors - create and maintain positive relationships
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the project schedule

Profile

The successful Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction will have:

  • 2+ years of Project Engineer or Assistant Project Management experience
  • Experience working on commercial construction projects
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree
  • Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred
  • Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success
  • Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors
  • Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level

Job Offer

The Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction can expect:

  • Base salary contingent on experience, ranging roughly $70,000-100,000
  • Company vehicle and gas card
  • Project bonuses upon completion
