We are seeking an efficient and experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of projects in the window treatment industry. The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delays of project phases, scheduling meetings, and maintaining project documents and reports.
This role offers the opportunity to grow into a full-time Project Manager position.
To be successful as an assistant project manager you should be able to perform any tasks assigned by the project manager in an efficient and timely manner. An assistant project manager should be able to maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues, and ensure these are resolved promptly.
Assistant Project Manager Responsibilities:
Communicate with stakeholders regarding project needs, goals, and timelines.
Contribute to the planning and development of projects.
Support the coordination and management of projects.
Track and report project progress, identifying any issues and assisting in resolution.
Perform tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, and ordering materials.
Keep track of and report on project progress.
Complete any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
Assist project managers with estimating, field measuring, preparing submittal packages, developing schedules of values, change orders, and support scheduling and coordination of installations.
Attend WIP meetings for review of ongoing project status and new jobs in the pipeline.
May be required to climb ladders up to 6 feet high as needed on-site.
Must be able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
Assistant Project Manager Requirements:
Degree in business management, construction management, or a related field preferred.
At least 2 years of previous experience in project management or a similar role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and project management software.
Highly organized, able to multitask, and meet deadlines efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Team player with the ability to work independently when needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
OSHA 30 and CPR certifications are preferred but not required.
Window treatment industry experience is considered a strong asset.
