What You’ll Do
You’ll support the Project Manager throughout the entire construction lifecycle — from pre‐construction planning to project closeout. As stated in the document, the APM is responsible for “all aspects of the project in the construction phase from pre-construction planning through completion of the project closeout under the direction and oversight of a Project Manager”.
Key responsibilities include:
Project coordination — Assist the PM in all phases of the project and help maintain smooth operations.
Problem-solving — Identify issues early and resolve them efficiently.
Relationship management — Maintain positive communication with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
Scheduling support — Help develop and maintain the overall project schedule.
Document control — Manage submittal logs, RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
Technical review — Review drawings and specifications to fully understand project scope.
Qualifications
Experience in federal commercial construction (preferred)
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Ability to obtain clearance for government facilities (“Clean background – must be able to be cleared to access government facilities”)
Procore experience is a plus
Excellent communication, organization, and follow‐through
