Our client is a premier luxury home builder specializing in custom residences, estate homes, and high-end residential construction throughout Westchester County and the surrounding areas. Their portfolio includes architect-designed custom homes featuring exceptional craftsmanship, complex detailing, premium finishes, and bespoke construction elements.
Job Description
As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Westchester County, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of custom home construction
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
- Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Assisting with procurement and contract administration
- Maintaining project schedules and milestone updates
- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
- Supporting field teams and Superintendents with project coordination
- Tracking project documentation and reporting requirements
- Participating in client and project team meetings
- Monitoring project progress and assisting with issue resolution
- Supporting project closeout and homeowner turnover activities

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, or Assistant Project Management
- Experience with custom homes, luxury residential, residential, or commercial construction projects
- Understanding of construction documentation and project controls
- Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and scheduling
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and related construction software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
- Former athletic experience is a plus due to the teamwork, discipline, competitiveness, and leadership qualities that translate well into construction management, but is not required
