Description
Our Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Assist Project Managers with the successful delivery of healthcare, life science, and institutional construction projects.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and schedule management efforts.
- Manage and track RFIs, submittals, ASIs, change orders, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and project stakeholders.
- Maintain project logs, meeting minutes, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with contract administration and subcontractor management.
- Monitor procurement schedules and long-lead equipment deliveries.
- Support project financial reporting and cost control efforts.
- Participate in owner, architect, consultant, and subcontractor meetings.
- Coordinate project closeout activities, punch lists, turnover packages, and warranty documentation.
- Ensure project records remain organized, accurate, and up to date.
Profile
The ideal Assistant Project Manager will have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience working for a General Contractor.
- Experience supporting commercial, healthcare, life science, institutional, or industrial projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and project controls.
- Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project tracking logs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and construction management software.
- Desire to develop into a Project Manager within a growing organization.
