Assistant Project Manager

We're a General Contractor based in Houston that has been in business for 35+years building a variety of education, medical, public use, manufacturing, and corporate office projects throughout the greater Houston area.

We have an immediate need to make a long-term hire for an Assistant Project Manager that is looking to quickly step into a true Project Manager role. This position will be based out of our Houston office. Travel is very minimal due to all of our work being local.

Requirements:

• College Degree in a construction related field
• Prior field experience preferred
• Looking for someone that is hungry and eager to grow into a full-on PM position running their own projects
• Knowledge of the building process
• OSHA Certifications
• Proficient with various construction software's
• Strong written & verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn from tenured industry professionals in order to develop stronger skillsets

Responsibilities:

• Work with and support Superintendents with subs & logistics
• Strong emphasis on the financial and contractual management side of things. 
• Research information to support other teams and departments as needed
• Perform administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, etc.
• Keep track of and report on project progress
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure projects are completed on time.

Compensation / Perks:

• Base Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 depending on experience
