Assistant Project Manager - Industrial - New Jersey

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial construction projects.
- Support the management of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
- Track project schedules, budgets, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Participate in client meetings, site walks, and progress updates.
- Monitor project documentation and ensure timely communication across project teams.
- Assist with procurement activities and subcontract administration.
- Support project reporting, cost tracking, and forecasting efforts.
- Help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Gain exposure to both industrial fit-out projects and ground-up industrial developments.

The Successful Applicant
The Successful Candidate
- 3-5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably within industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or commercial construction.
- Experience supporting projects in the $500K to $2M range is preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and field operations.
- Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Local to New Jersey or willing to commute to projects throughout Central and North New Jersey.
- Motivated to develop into a Project Manager role and take on increased responsibility.
