Assistant Project Manager-
Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of construction projects in Murrells Inlet, SC. This full-time, on-site role involves assisting with project scheduling, coordination, logistics, progress tracking, material expediting, and quality control activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, field teams, vendors, and subcontractors to help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Project Managers in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects.
Assist with project scheduling, reporting, documentation, and daily project operations.
Coordinate logistics, materials, subcontractors, and project resources to maintain workflow efficiency.
Monitor project progress and help ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
Facilitate inspections and ensure adherence to quality control and safety standards.
Assist with material takeoffs and estimating activities when required.
Maintain clear communication with internal teams, vendors, and clients throughout project lifecycles.
Help identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
Experience in construction project coordination or project management support preferred.
Experience with takeoffs and estimating is a plus.
Strong understanding of project scheduling, reporting, and construction workflows.
Familiarity with construction inspections, quality standards, and job-site safety practices.
Knowledge of logistics coordination and resource management within construction projects.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with project management software and related tools is a plus.
Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, but not required.
