Position Responsibilities
- Support project management during the design phase by overseeing design consultants and ensuring compliance with contract documents.
- Assist in inspections and quality control/assurance activities through project closeout.
- Collaborate with the Resident Engineer and support project coordination by attending meetings and following up on action items.
- Monitor job site safety and prepare necessary reports and documentation.
- Assist with project budgets, schedules, and construction activities.
- Report directly to the Senior Director of Project Management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or an Associate's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum four years of project management experience, including supervisory experience on large construction projects.
- 30-hour OSHA Certification and 8-hour Lead Awareness Course required.
- Completion of one-day Client Track Safety Training before participating in projects.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
- Experience with CADD is desirable.
- Knowledge of capital construction procedures and field operations.
- Experience with construction scheduling and estimating.
Work Schedule
- Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour workday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch).
- 50% technical and 50% administrative responsibilities.
- 80% field and 20% office work.
- Right-of-way access required.
