We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful planning, execution, and completion of electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Working closely with Project Managers, field personnel, clients, vendors, and subcontractors, you will help coordinate project activities, track budgets and schedules, maintain documentation, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of electrical construction projects.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to support project objectives.
  • Assist with procurement by preparing purchase orders, tracking material deliveries, and coordinating equipment needs.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and submittals for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, progress reports, and closeout documents.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, assist with quality control, and support compliance with company safety standards.
  • Assist with billing, job costing, and other administrative aspects of project management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the project management team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • Previous experience in construction, electrical contracting, project coordination, or project management.
  • Basic understanding of construction documents, project scheduling, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management software is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
