Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking to add an Assistant Project Manager to our growing and talented Custom Residential Construction Management Company, Phillip Wentzel Custom Homes. This position requires the individual to be construction minded, a strong communicator, and client focused.Objectives of this RoleParticipate with Preconstruction and Construction departments to assist in phases of a construction project proficiently and effectively. These responsibilities include estimating, preconstruction, and/or construction management functions.ResponsibilitiesIssue contracts for material and labor in our company softwareReview shop drawingsAssist in field supervision tasksConsistently meet provided deadlinesFrequently meet with clients to discuss project detailsPerform onsite quality control checksPerform estimating functionsReview and approve pay applicationsAssist in all phases of construction managementObtain bids from subcontractorsReview sub scope of workOrganize and maintain electronic and hard copy project filesWork independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other departments and organizationsPerform other duties and functions as assignedRequirementsBachelor's degree plus 1- 3 years' applicable experience in Residential constructionKnowledge of procedures for construction and ability to read and understand construction documentsUnderstanding of building materials and construction methodsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc)Current knowledge of industry trends, technology, codes, and regulationsClear written and verbal communication We are an equal-opportunity employer, promoting a cooperative, team-oriented environment and empowering all employees to deliver the best in quality service for our clients.#LI-AM1
