Field Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

We're looking for a driven, detail-oriented Field Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to support the successful execution of high-tech industrial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems, coordinating with multiple teams, and building a long-term career in construction management.

What You'll Be Doing
- Perform field audits to verify work is installed according to drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Conduct routine QA/QC inspections and maintain project quality standards
- Capture and organize photo documentation of project progress and field conditions
- Identify, track, and communicate field constraints before they impact the schedule
- Maintain accurate daily reports, delivery logs, project documentation, and communication records
- Support Project Managers and field leadership with planning and project execution
- Coordinate small work scopes and assist in managing field activities
- Work closely with field personnel to keep projects productive and aligned
- Review project reporting for accuracy across field operations, QA/QC, and project management
- Help ensure consistency between field progress, schedules, and reporting systems
- Proactively identify issues and help drive solutions
What You Bring
- Experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-tech construction preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Understanding of construction safety practices, layouts, measurements, and project sequencing
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel
- Smartsheet
- Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Procore
- Professional email communication
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment
- Construction means and methods experience is a plus
