They are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join their collaborative team on-site in the Slinger/Jackson area. This role serves as the first formal step on their Project Manager career path. YOU will work alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects, and Interior Designers who will train YOU in every phase of the design-build process. YOU will even manage smaller projects under the guidance of a PM mentor to help YOU build the skills needed to advance.
What You Will Do:
Preconstruction & Setup
- Estimating Support: Assist Project Managers in gathering crucial information for contract estimates and early project planning.
- Bid Collection: Follow up with subcontractors to collect comprehensive bids and clarify scope coverage.
- Documentation Management: Help organize, track, and maintain all project documentation using Procore.
Coordination & Change Management
- Schedule Review: Review 4-week look-ahead schedules generated by the Field Superintendent.
- Submittals & RFIs: Review submittals with guidance from your PM to ensure project accuracy.
- Change Orders: Gather pricing and details for PCCOs (change orders) while updating and tracking the PCCO log.
Meetings & Communication
- Collaboration: Participate actively in project kickoff meetings, PreCon meetings, and lessons-learned discussions.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Communicate clearly with PMs, Superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to keep projects moving forward.
- Project Closeout: Support the final closeout process and assist in preparing official owner deliverables.
