Position Overview

As the Assistant Property Manager, you will be a key driver of the property’s day-to-day operations, supporting the Property Manager in maintaining high standards of management and resident satisfaction. You will act as a champion for residents and team members, living our values by ensuring every interaction is respectful, intentional, and contributes to a thriving community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily property operations while modeling People Come First, ensuring residents feel valued and supported
  • Manage resident relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and empathetically
  • Support financial management including rent collection and accurate record-keeping, acting with purpose in all transactions
  • Assist with leasing responsibilities: showings, applications, move-ins/move-outs, and final unit walks, delivering a consistent and welcoming experience
  • Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to maintain safe, functional, and well-presented homes (Rooted in Sustainability)
  • Support marketing and retention initiatives to attract new residents and foster long-term community engagement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve operational and financial goals, cultivating and elevating team success and shared growth

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field preferred. In lieu of a bachelor’s, an Associate’s degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience required
  • 3+ years in property management, leasing, or related field
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency in property management software (Entrata/Yardi preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid state issued driver’s license required.

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry or maneuver weights of up to twenty-five (25) pounds and fifty (50) with assistance.
  • Regular travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, attend training classes, meetings or other situations necessary for the completion of some or all of the daily responsibilities.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend.
