This is the service and maintenance side of our client's Property Services Division, and it is the senior assistant role on that team. The work is the ongoing care of homes the firm has already built, not new construction.
Our client is a high-end residential construction management firm with more than thirty-five years building across five Northeast markets, with this position based in their Boston office. Most builders hand over the keys and leave. This division looks after homes the firm already has a relationship with, diagnosing and resolving building issues, running renovations and smaller custom projects, and staying in front of the homeowner throughout.
The role
You run an assigned portfolio of luxury single-family homes alongside the Senior Services Manager. You own the preventive maintenance plans, you schedule field staff and vendors so a house is disturbed once rather than five times, and you lead the onsite service calls and walkthroughs. You also price the work: scopes and estimates for repairs, deferred maintenance and smaller improvement projects, reviewing vendor pricing, and checking work orders and billing before the client is invoiced. You hold the client relationship directly. There is a stated path toward a Property Services Manager role.
What you bring
Three to five years in residential construction, property management or luxury building maintenance.
Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, high-end finishes and the exterior envelope. You do not do the work, but you know when it is wrong.
Experience preparing scopes of work or estimates.
Able to read construction documents, plans, and operating and maintenance manuals.
Microsoft Office. Procore or Sage/Timberline is a plus, not a requirement.
The ability and the appetite to deliver white-glove, concierge-level client service.
Confident enough to lead conversations with homeowners, house managers and design professionals.
Sound judgement about when to act and when to escalate.
Benefits
Medical from your first day with no waiting period, and the firm pays 75% of the premium.
The firm funds the entire deductible through an HRA, $3,000 individual and $6,000 family, and you contribute nothing to it.
Dental with orthodontia, and vision.
Company-paid life and AD&D at $100,000 each, automatic on hire, plus company-paid short-term and long-term disability.
A 401(k) after 90 days, matched 100% on your deferrals up to 3% of salary.
Vacation starts at two weeks and grows a day a year, three weeks at five years. One week of personal and sick time, and ten paid holidays.
Company cell phone and laptop, and professional licences paid in full.
