We're looking for an Assistant Purchasing Manager with the skills and attention to detail to manage procurement processes, optimize inventory levels, and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. This role involves collaborating with various departments to streamline purchasing activities, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting efforts. A strong understanding of cost management, inventory control, and supply chain processes will be key.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
• Overseeing day-to-day purchasing operations and empowering your team to execute efficiently • Managing supplier orders and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries • Ensuring all procurement processes adhere to ethical and legal standards • Analysing purchasing data, forecasting future needs, and preparing budgets for procurement costs • Reviewing supplier agreements, optimizing costs, and contributing to inventory management strategies • Maintaining strong relationships with vendors and ensuring smooth accounts payable processes to protect cash flow and supplier partnerships
What we need from you
Bachelor's degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Or three years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least one year in a supervisory or team lead role
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
