Step into a leadership role at the iconic El Tovar Dining Room, a world-class fine dining destination on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll help lead daily operations in a historic setting known for exceptional cuisine, service, and unforgettable views.
Position Details:
- Full-time, year-round
- Start: March/April 2026
- Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays
What You'll Do:
- Oversee daily dining room operations, including special events
- Lead and support front-of-house teams (servers, hosts, bartenders, etc.)
- Ensure high standards of service, food quality, and guest experience
- Manage staffing, scheduling, labor costs, and inventories
- Train, coach, and evaluate team members and supervisors
- Maintain sanitation, safety, and compliance standards
- Collaborate with kitchen and leadership teams to drive performance
What We're Looking For:
- 4+ years of salaried restaurant management experience
- Strong knowledge of full-service dining and front-of-house operations
- Experience managing financials (labor, P&L, cost control)
- Solid leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Beer, wine, and spirits knowledge required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office tools
