Assistant Restaurant Manager

Responsibilities:

• Assist the GM in staffing, inventory, and customer service
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Train and mentor staff to provide exceptional customer service
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery
• Monitor and maintain restaurant cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Oversee to go and delivery orders
• Assists the restaurant and host staff in answering the phone and taking reservations
• Open or close the restaurant as needed according to a rotating schedule
• Make shift notes of what occurred during dining service
• Collaborate with the Chef and Hospitality General Manager on social media by taking photos and videos for Facebook and Instagram of specials
• Be a brand ambassador for events, upcoming dinners and more
• Assist the leaders in overseeing hosts, food runners, bussers and servers
• Assist the General Manager by making scheduling suggestions

Requirements:

• 2-3 years proven experience as an assistant supervisor, supervisor, manager or assistant manager in the restaurant industry
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a 50-hour work week, flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of restaurant management software and POS systems
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in hospitality or restaurant management preferred
